Park Fees
From the 1st July the national park authority had imposed an 18% VAT tax on park fees and John reckons this had led to a number of cancellations. It’s hard for us to imagine as the path we’re treading looks well-worn and certainly busy in our wave.

Its $70 per day to be on the mountain/in the National Park, plus $50 a night campsite fee per person. So what was $790 (7x$70) + (6x$50) is now almost $950.

The track is well marked but the toilets are basic to say the least. The guides are unhappy that the park don’t have their own helicopter for rescue considering the size of the fees.
