Sienna - 1.02 - Day 17

Today we moved from where we were currently staying ‘Home de Bear’ to our new hostel named ‘Hostel One Art & Gallery’. It took us about 10 mins to walk there, however when we arrived the room wasn’t ready yet. So we left all our luggage and went for a little walk. Me and my mum did the laundry, whilst Seb and my dad went to look at some elephant tour options.

Then we walked to a little cafe at the front of someone’s house and there we got two mango smoothies. The lady who served the mango smoothies was probably the kindest lady you will ever meet. And with the mango smoothies, Seb and I got chocolate marshmallows (which are basically marshmallows with chocolate inside) and we also got half a mango. So I am guessing half was put in our smoothie and we were given the other half to eat so that everyone gets a fresh mango.

When we got back we went to have a look at our room. In one half of the room it had a sofa bed, a fridge and a TV and in the other half of the room it had a bathroom, queen bed and a single bed.

In the evening we met up with our friends Hazel and Emmett and we went to a night market (stalls that are open at night). Me, Seb, my mum and dad all shared some BBQ pork ribs, and some plain and egg roti’s.

For dessert we had ice cream rolls. Which was basically ice cream rolled up to make ice cream rolls. It started as a liquid and was put onto a really cold plate where the chefs chopped and mixed the ice cream with m&m’s and nutella (our picks). The man flattened it out and then rolled 5 ice cream rolls and put them into a bowl. On top of the ice cream rolls we had marshmallows and chocolate sauce. All together it tasted delicious.

After we finished our dessert we went for a walk to explore the street market stalls. Hazel was very interested in the crystals so we spent a long time in a crystal shop. Eventually it was time to go home, so we all walked home and fell asleep in our comfy beds.
