Sienna - 26.01 - Day 11
Today we went on a big adventure because we caught not 1, not 2, but 3 buses in order to get us to where we were staying.
The first bus we caught took us from where we were staying to Kanchanaburi bus station. On the bus Seb got a single seat in line with the driver’s seat. The driver told us that that the bus we were in was 54 years old and had been passed down from his dad’s dad. The driver also told us that when he was a baby we would sleep above the engine (the engine had a leather on top of it) whist his dad drove the bus and that that history was repeating itself again because the driver had 2 girls one 9 and one still a baby so whilst he drove the bus his baby would sleep on top of the engine.
The second bus ride was our longest ride so it was very boring. I sat next to my dad whilst Seb sat next to my mum. On the bus ride I got to eat some tomato flavoured crisps which tasted delicious and some big gold bears which are basically gummy bears but they are all a gold kind of colour.
Once the bus finally pulled into the bus station we all popped to the toilet after my dad had put all our luggage into the bus. Me and Seb finished going to the toilet first so we were told to wait with the bus. Whilst my mum and dad were looking at some food on sale our bus started to pull away with all our luggage in it so of course I started panicking. Thankfully we managed to stop the bus just in time so that we could board it.
The bus was a bit of a squash so me, Seb and my mum squashed into 2 seats whilst my dad had a seat to himself. On the bus ride me and Seb got eat some mentos and we also played a car game where I would be a car seat my mum would be sat-nav and Seb would be the driver.
When we arrived in Ayutthaya (the town we were staying in) we took a ferry from one side of river to the other. This time our room had 3 beds 2 king size beds and 1 single bed so in total there was 5 spots for someone to sleep so for the first night I slept in the single bed, Seb slept in a double bed and my mum and dad shared the other king bed.
That night for dinner we had crispy chicken with rice and we then fell asleep in our comfy beds.
