18.05 - Day 124 - Bridgehampton

Saturday 18th May - Bridgehampton, New York (Day 124)

The overcast conditions have returned so we linger and loiter indoors. Seb finished his week's school assignment - a Hungry Caterpillar performance. After some macro and micro management from Kate and Sienna, the two minute performance is wrapped up, 

Jamie gives us a driven tour of the area initially in and amongst more of the grand houses on display. They are both magnificent and unnecessary in the same breath. 

We visit a couple of the beaches which are almost empty, Sienna and Seb hurtling into and off sandbanks, overlooked by the mansions on the beach's edge. 

For lunch we stop at Townline for some succulent brisket, Seb having to be encouraged to eat distracted as he is by all the ports on multiple TVs spread around the room. 

Jamie takes us back to Sag Harbor to collect some doughnuts, where delicate intricate flavours sit next to classic cinnamon. 

Almost back home we stop at Wolffer Winery where the Rose of the last two nights has come from to sit and enjoy another bottle in the elegant and very popular surrounds of the winery overlooking grape vines. 

After more chilling out at home, everyone smitten with Lily, Jamie fires up the BBQ for our final supper of chicken, asparagus and roasted potatoes, complimented with a bottle of two more from Wolffer and beers from Montauk. This lends to a last dip into the world of Ryan and Marissa, Seth and Summer in The OC before turning in.
