13.09 - Day 242 - Pridraga, CRO
Friday 13th September - Pridraga, Croatia (Day 242)
Seb struggles to finish his week of school work so Kate and Sienna venture out to explore in the car, bad mouthing google maps on their return for taking them down a ‘road’ that was more a sheep's trail than tarmac.
Finally all four of us leave, stopping at an overlook down onto the pretty village of Novigrad on the bend of an inlet with a castle ruin perched at the top.
Further round this bay to Posedarje where we stumble upon a small football astro pitch currently hosting some German tourists and a local kid. Seb soon asks to join and despite being on a team with one German and one Croatian, language is no barrier and start beating the other pair in the now drizzle - Sienna and Kate are now back in the car.
I join the other team and we continue in the rain, next to the seafront. We sneak a win after ‘Next Goal Wins’.
After grocery shopping we detour back into Novigrad to scramble up to the castle ruins - as always trying to guess what each room was hundreds of years ago.
Back at Apartment Verde, Seb plays intermittently with the son Karlo before dinner and cards and bed.
