25.11 - Day 315 - Siem Reap, KHM

Monday 25th November - Siem Reap (Day 315)

Three and a half weeks of school to go and not much longer than that for our entire trip.

I’m starting to get back in the South East Asia swing of things, an early but still warm stroll for iced coffee, two noodle soups from a street cart attached to a motorbike and two warm coconut waffles for my efforts.

Schoolwork done Sienna and Seb play Phase10 and Rummikub (using the Phase10 cards) with Hannah by the pool, joined then by Kiwis Zara (10) and Lucas (14).

Then follows probably 2 hours in the pool, all the kids larking about, playing games together.

Zara and Lucas’ dad and mum are also at the end of their year travelling, even if their campervanning through Scandonavia, travelling in Central America, skiing in Canada, camping through Namibia and Zambia is a level up on us.

When the kids finally give in to hunger and get out of the pool, Team RJ head to a dumpling and noodle cafe for the second time - Angkor Hand Pulled Noodles and Dumplings delivering the goods once again.

Unfortunately, on a previous walk, Sienna and Seb had spotted a cat cafe and hadn’t forgotten about it and it’s there we head next for an hour of feline furriness. Sienna and Seb love it, especially as we’re the only ones there. The cats have seen it all before, casually swiping at a toy if it comes near, but the kittens jump around non-stop.

Like yesterday the late lunch precludes the need or want for dinner so it’s to bed for the last time in Passport Villa and Siem Reap.
